Imagine
her surprise, when Rebekah learne d
that she will marry a man that she never
heard of nor ever seen (Gen.
24)! Nonetheless, she was
surprised beyond her wildest
expectations. Likewise, every
believer is blessed with a perpetual and
personal relationship with Jesus Christ
who far exceeds any thing we could
possibly have dreamed.
So what does this mean for us while we
travel through this world that blurs
this reality? Trust! It all comes
down to trust. Rebekah fell in love at
no sight of her groom. She
traveled by faith and not sight. Her
faith was well equipped with promises
and dreams and potential. Like Rebekah,
we are to live by faith not sight (2
Cor. 5:7). Rebekah's life was
characterized by faithfulness,
fruitfulness, and peacefulness. Why?
Faith over sight! She walked in the
light of God's will and not the sight of
fear.
Sincerely, Dr. Arthur Belanger
